December Announcements

1.   This coming Wednesday, December 8, is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. It is a Holiday of Obligation. We have the following Masses:

7:00 am  /  12:15 at noon  /  6:00 pm  /  7:00 pm

2.   We have moved the Christmas Bazaar Garage Sale on December 11 and 12, next Saturday and Sunday. We are still accepting donations of old and used items like clothes, shoes, furnitures and kitchenwares.

3.   The Christmas Parol and Ball that you have offered last Sunday are now placed on the trees around the Church and on our Giant Christmas tree in front of the Church. Please continue to offer the Parol and Ball so that we can fill up the trees on Christmas day.

4.   Please continue to support the Club 100. Contact your area coordinators regarding its dynamics.

5.   We have already tested the functioning of our Air-conditioning units this past week. There is a slight problem with regards to the noise of the units. Hopefully we will be able to resolve it so that all units will be fully functional by December 15, the first day of our Simbang Gabi.

6.   We are launching the official website of our Parish. You will find it on www.sjbparishsantarosa.org Visit our website for you to be informed of our parish events and activities.

Parish Website Launch

Our new  Parish website may be viewed in the internet at the following address:

It contains a short history of the Parish, its vision-mission, the different ministries, a picture gallery and the parish services.

One of its most important features is the “announcement of the different activities and projects of the Parish.” 

We hope that through this improved communication between the Parish and the parishioners, you may not only participate in the activities but also be involved in the different ministries.

Operation Health Alert 2010

On December 19, 2010 (Sunday), the King of Kings Diagnostic Center will conduct Medical examinations. It will be from 6:00 am to 10:00 am only.

Relaunching of Club 100

THE PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL IS RELAUNCHING  “CLUB 100”

It aims to raise the needed funds for various parish improvement projects.

Club 100 Kits with 4 envelopes are available through your respective Area Coordinators.

The contributions will be duly noted and recorded accordingly. A short note acknowledging receipt of the contribution will be given to the contributor each month.

Garage Sale / Christmas Bazaar

The Garage Sale / Christmas Bazaar will be on December 4 and 5 at JP II Hall in the Parish.

You may bring your donations to our Parish office or have your donations picked up starting November 9, 2010.

Update of Fund Raising (Aircon & Barangay Chapels)

The air-con condensers have already been installed in the roof. The floor-mounted air-con has also been installed in the sanctuary. One air-con unit was already placed in the ceiling of the church extension. The doors of the church are being sealed and the entrance door modified.

Our application to Meralco for three-phase line is ongoing. Hopefully, the whole project will be finished by mid-December. The air-con units will be functional during the Simbang-Gabi Masses.

Announcements of forthecoming celebrations & activities

1.   Solemnity of Christ the King – November 21, 2010, Sunday.

There will be a procession around the Church after the 10:00 o’clock Mass in honor of Christ, the King.

2.   Christmas Bazaar (Garage Sale) – the donation of items for Garage Sale will start from 8 November to 28 November. We will have the Christmas Bazaar on 4 and 5 December. Please donate items that will still be useful and functional.

3.   The Parol and Christmas Tree decoration will start on 28 November, the first Sunday of Advent and it will end on 24 December, Christmas eve.

This year, we will hang the Parol in the trees around the Church and we will put up a giant Christmas Tree in front of the Church.

4.   The setting up of the Belen will start on 15 December, the first day of Simbang Gabi. Different villages will be assigned to decorate the Belen with the different personages and animals every night of Simbang Gabi.

5.   A life-size Relic of St. John Bosco will visit our parish on 31 December until 2 January 2011. We will celebrate New Year’s eve with the Relic of Don Bosco and we will also launch the 10^th year anniversary of our parish.

Please join us in all these events and let us celebrate them together.
